The labeled end of a chip tantalum capacitor is the positive electrode, the other end is the negative electrode, and the long leg of the lead tantalum is the positive electrode. Note that tantalum capacitors cannot be connected in reverse, which will not work after being connected in reverse, and can easily lead to adverse consequences such as breakdown and burst.
