M7 SMA

The package of SMD diode M7 is called an SMA package, also known as DO-214AC. Similar packages such as SMB (DO-214AA) and SMC (DO-214AB) differ in size: SMA<SMB<SMC.

The maximum forward average current allowed to flow through a diode during long-term use is called the maximum rectified current, or the rated operating current of the diode. When the current flowing through the diode is greater than the maximum rectifying current, the diode is easily burned out. The maximum rectifying current of the diode is related to the PN junction area and heat dissipation conditions.
